Commissioning a special piece

Your confidence in ordering custom work is as important to us as your ultimate satisfaction with the jewelry. In order to simplify the procedure we have tried to cover the important details below. Please let us know if you have other concerns or questions.

Design and manufacture process
We will work with you as we develop the details for your unique piece. In addition to design considerations, this will include your budget, stones desired, metal, finish, and size.

We will send sketches and will communicate with you until we arrive at the finalized design. You will receive a cost estimate and a time estimate for completion/delivery. If necessary, we will contact you during the manufacturing process for clarification or confirmation of details. When your order has been completed we will email images for your inspection before final payment and shipping.

Time required for custom work
Your special jewelry order will usually be completed within two to four weeks from completed initial deposit. Factors affecting the promise date include complexity of design, request for specially-sourced stones/materials, custom cutting and the current studio schedule. Timing issues will be discussed during the design process and before a delivery time is agreed upon. Expedited orders may be negotiated, subject to schedule, at additional cost.

Deposits on custom orders
After the project has been defined and approved, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit before beginning work.

Form of payment for deposit
You may charge 50% to your VISA, MasterCard or Discover and work will begin as soon as the charge is approved.

You may send a personal check for 50% and work will begin when the check clears, usually within 2 to 3 days.

Final payment and shipping
Shipping costs will be added to the final payment of your purchase. When we contact you for final approval of the work we will request permission to charge the invoice balance to your card or request your check for the balance. When your final payment has been approved or cleared, we will ship your piece to you and relay the package tracking information to you via email. It is our policy to ship packages insured, with delivery confirmation requested.

Satisfaction and warranty
Although custom orders are non-returnable and non-refundable, if a piece does not meet your expectations, we will try to resolve the problem within the boundaries of the accepted design and ship it back to you at no charge. This does not extend to changing the design or stones.

We stand behind everything we make and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. We will repair free of charge any defect of manufacture within 30 days of purchase. If you opt to have repairs or alterations performed elsewhere, we can no longer honor the guarantee for that piece.

Later repairs required due to wear and tear or to accident or abuse may incur labor charges.
